About Jen

Jen has been drawing and painting since before she could walk. Well, maybe that’s not true but who can say for sure. She paints things she loves, which includes but isn’t limited to animals, fun retro things, pop culture people, and house plants. She started Kleptodog Studio in 2015 and made a lot of people smile with her pet portraits, has been exhibited in multiple art installations and shows, and in September 2026 she started a nostalgia themed mail art club called Nostalgia Bomb Dot-Com. She credits her art career and her ability to dream without restraint to her dad who always believed in her and supported her art.

She lives and works in Wilmington, NC with her husband Pat and a pack of diva dogs - not to be confused with devil dogs but it’s a blurred line. When she’s not painting she’s probably making pottery, playing video games or trying to convince Pat to pack up the divas and go on an adventure. She has a 50/50 success rate.
